Must See Movie

It's a quarter til 8:00 in the morning.  I'm already showered and dressed.  AND I'm still waiting for the little guy to wake up!  He's been sleeping through the night the last few nights (FINALLY).  I feel completely rested.  I'm feeling completely content which is an amazing feeling, especially since the last week I've felt like an emotional wreck.

ANYWAY, I just wanted to create a post about a movie we watched the other day that I just fell in love with.  It was so competely sweet, endearing, quircky, and so funny.  There were moments when Kyle and I were busting up laughing and moments I couldn't help but sighing and saying "awwww".  It's rated PG-13, but has very very little inappropriate content in it.  You seriously need to rent it or check it out from your local library (that's what we did).  It was made in 2007, so you probably won't be able to get it at the RedBox.  Here is the movie and a little summary of it:

In this comedy, Lars Lindstrom (Ryan Gosslin, The Notebook) is an awkwardly shy young man in a small northern town who finally brings home the girl of his dreams to his brother and sister-in-law's home. The only problem is that she's not real - she's a doll Lars ordered off the Internet. Lars has a delusional yet deep, meaningful relationship with his new girlfriend. His sister-in-law is worried for him, his brother thinks he's nuts, but eventually the entire town goes along with his delusion in support of this sweet natured boy that they've always loved.

Birthday Boredom

My 24th birthday was just a few days ago.  Of course it snowed ALOT and we got stuck inside.  There wasn't much to do, so I got the good ole camera out - and now I have lots of editing to do.  Here are some ones of Leon and I.  He was being a super sweetie for my birthday which was a great presesnt.  It was all just for the fun of it. 

Despite being snowed in, I did have a lovely birthday.  I went shopping with my friend, Shayla, the night before and got lots of cute tops.  Kyle and Leon got me a subscription to Better Homes and Gardens.  We had Pizza Hut for dinner.  My mother-and-law made me my favorite cake - chocolate with fudge chocolate icing.  I spent the day relaxing, reading, playing with my little guy, and not doing ANY chores.

It's new years eve...

and guess what I'm doing?  Painting my kitchen cabinets!  I know - it sounds like nothing you'd want to be doing on New Years Eve, but our plans got canceled because Leon is once again sick with a cold and cough (and possibly even another ear infection?).  Oh well.  I'm having fun and our kitchen is starting to look AMAZING.  We still have a lot of work left to do to it.  I'll be sure to post pics as soon as it's all done - it may be another month.  The transformation is going to be unbelievable!  I can't wait to finish the rest.  What all are of you doing this lovely evening?

Well, its the time of year when we all make new goals and our new years resolutions.  I've been thinking about this a lot.  There are a ton of things I need to work on.  There are a ton of things I'd like to do better.  Here are some of the ones I'd really like to work on this year:

1.  Exercise.  I haven't done this in months and months.  I'm starting to feel the conquences of not doing it for months and months too!

2)  Get my current art work up on Esty to sell.  Shoot more art work.  This won't be hard.  It may take some time to get organized but I just got to get my butt in gear and do it.

3)  Love my husband, my baby boy, and the rest of my family more and more.  Show them that Love.  Serve them.  Spend more time with them, especially my dad - because he's just cool and a good dad.

4)  Make my house a HOME.  Get it organized.  Make it beautiful and comfortable.

5) Be more prayerful.  Be more patient.

Mostly, I just want to be a better person than I was the day before - I want to be more compassionate, unselfish, loving, kind, healthier, and happy than I am right now. 

What is your big goal for 2010??? - man, that's kinda weird - 2010!  Happy New Year!

Welcome!

Hey Everyone!  As you may have seen on my photo blog, I'm starting this new personal blog.  There are multiple reasons why I'm doing this.  Most of them are to keep my business and personal life seperate.  As you can see, the name of this blog is called "My Life, My Snapshots".  I'll be doing a lot of postings about my life and what's going on in it, along with my everyday photographs.  I hope you'll get just as much enjoyment and inspiration out of this one as you have my photo blog.  AND I certanily hope you'll still check out my work on my photo blog!  Please feel free to leave comments - I love seeing what you have to write.
